Suzuki e Vitara Spotted Testing in Germany
The production version of the Maruti eVX concept, now known as the Suzuki e Vitara, was recently spotted undergoing testing in Germany. This marks an exciting development for Maruti Suzuki as the e Vitara is set to be produced at their Gujarat plant and launched in India in March 2025
Key Highlights from the Testing Phase
-
German Plates: The e Vitara was seen with German license plates, indicating that it is being tested in the European Union. This suggests that Maruti Suzuki is preparing the vehicle for a global market, including Europe.
-
Design and Features: The prototype showcases a design similar to the eVX concept, with black-painted alloy wheels, a twin-display setup (digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system), and a floating center console. The interior also features touch controls for the HVAC system and a rubbery drive selector.

The all-wheel drive variant with the 61 kWh battery pack produces a combined output of 181 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
-
Performance: The e Vitara offers nimble acceleration and sharp overtaking capabilities. It also features Suzuki's ALLGRIP-e electric 4WD system, which includes a Trail mode for off-road capabilities.
-
Ground Clearance and Weight: The e Vitara has a ground clearance of 180 mm and a minimum curb weight of 1,702 kg. This makes it suitable for both on-road and off-road driving.
